Innovative Fire Protection on military/protected vehicles to cover complex requirements:
Fire fighting system: automatic engine compartment detection and extinguishing
Fire suppression system: crew compartment protection in case of explosive fires in < 150 ms
External fire fighting system: to protect sensitive areas in the underfloor area and the roof

Scenario: fire in engine, hydraulic compartment, in the APU, underfloor area/ propulsion system and in roof area
Purpose: obtaining mobility to leave conflict zone
Detection: thermal detectors
Extinguishing time: less than 20 seconds

Fire Suppression System (FSS)
Scenario: explosive fire in crew compartment/cabin area
Purpose: fire suppression for crew evacuation in safe area
Detection: optical detectors
Suppression time: less than 150 milliseconds
